With a career in finance spanning over 25 years, Jiwan Singh Dhanik brings deep industry expertise, strategic leadership, and an unwavering customer-focused approach to Guide Financial Services. His journey in financial services began in 2000 with ICICI Bank in India, where he developed strong foundations in home finance and insurance. These formative years instilled in him the technical insight and customer-first discipline that continue to define his professional philosophy.

Jiwan's experience broadened significantly as he progressed through the banking sector, taking on increasingly senior leadership responsibilities across international markets. From 2009 to 2017, he served as Area Branch Manager for State Bank of India (UK), where he led branch operations, managed high-performing teams, drove sustainable growth, and cultivated long-term client relationships. His ability to navigate complex banking environments whilst delivering consistent results established him as a respected leader within the organisation.

In 2017, Jiwan founded Guide Financial Services (trading as Guide Mortgages), which is now a FCA Directly Authorised firm specialising in residential, commercial, and portfolio finance. As Founder & Director, he is dedicated to delivering tailored, compliant, and strategically structured financial solutions for homeowners, investors, and businesses across the UK. His deep understanding of lending markets, combined with his ability to demystify complex cases and find solutions where others see obstacles, has made him a trusted adviser to clients throughout the country.

Jiwan's expertise is underpinned by a solid academic foundation. He holds professional qualifications from The London Institute of Banking & Finance and a master's degree in finance from the University of Mumbai, which have strengthened his analytical capabilities and deepened his understanding of regulatory frameworks. This combination of practical experience and academic rigour enables him to approach each client's needs with both strategic insight and technical precision.

Beyond the Office

Outside of his professional achievements, Jiwan is passionate about cricket and stage performance. An enthusiastic sportsman, he actively plays competitive cricket and currently represents a local team as an all-rounder in the Cheshire League. His love for stage performance reflects his confidence, creativity, and strong interpersonal presence—qualities that naturally extend into his approach to client relationships and leadership. These interests reveal a well-rounded individual who brings the same energy, commitment, and team spirit to every aspect of his life, whether on the field, on stage, or in service to his clients.
